BluesCorp

BluesCorp is performing it's good-time rhythm & blues and infectious grooves to appreciative audiences at venues and events all around SE Queensland & Northern NSW, rapidly filling its show schedule in celebration of its debut album "Three Whole Years" released on 1st August 2011.

The band was formed in 2010 collaborating the talents of 100 years of musical experience and offers a wide audience appeal across all age demographics.

The band's live repertoire, like the album, is a treasure trove of traditional blues and dance tunes infused with a bit of funk here and there, some jazz and just a sprinkling of the bands own very powerful original material.

We have also included some of our music in Mp3 format for your listening pleasure.

BluesCorp is …

Andrew Clark (guitar and vocals)
Andrew’s trademark warm, earthy guitar tones, combined with his intimate and emotive vocal deliveries are the heart and soul of the BluesCorp sound. He creates a real rush of energy in his music and has been a “white boy lost in the blues” since his first working band – a 1977 project with blues guitarist Andrew Silver (Dynamic Hepnotics). His other influences are drawn from a diverse professional playing career that also includes jazz, funk, soul, country and rock & roll.

Ben Ferguson (saxophone/keyboards/guitar/vocal)
Saxophone adds a sensuous sophistication to any band … and Ben’s playing injects that and more to the BluesCorp experience as he brings dancers to their feet with his sizzling performances – and tears to their eyes with his soulful blues improvisations. A multi-instrumentalist, Ben brings also lends his keyboard and guitar skills to the BluesCorp performance.

Jason Klaffer (bass guitar)
Jason provides the solid, very funky "bottom end" that completes the BluesCorp sound so perfectly. His superb touch and dexterity make up the glue that seamlessly binds the BluesCorp frontline to the infectious grooves of the rhythm section.

Jason Otene (drums/vocal)
Jason is the BluesCorp groove master and is the driver of the superb and addictive rhythms that underpin the BluesCorp experience. His skilful versatility and exceptional timing combine to give BluesCorp its unique feel and an irresistible pulse.

BluesCorp MP3 Audio

BluesCorp is currently in the midst of recording a brand new album due for release in July 2011.

In the meantime we have included for you here a 'pre-release' from the album and also a little demo we recorded in 2010 as a 3-piece band.

This will give you some idea as to the versatility of the band being able to offer solid performances as a 3-piece, 4-piece or 5-piece band.
